Child Policy

We allow a maximum of 1 child under 12years sharing in a Superior Suite with 2 adults. Child sharing with parents pays the applicable child rate per night. In the case of one adult and one child under 12years sharing, the full room rate applies Children sharing with parents will be accommodated on fold away beds Families with more than one child, are required to book a second room In the case of 3 children sharing one room, the full room rate applies and the third child under 12yrs will pay the applicable additional child rate per night. Alternatively, inter-leading Deluxe Suites may be booked for children or additional persons (full rates apply)

Payment Policy

10% non refundable deposit is required on confirmation of the booking
Full payment of accommodation and extra’s, including drinks, is payable on departure.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be made in writing. No telephonic or verbal cancellations will be accepted. If a booking is cancelled after confirmation, the 10% deposit will be forfeited. In addition, the following fees will be levied: Cancellation within 2 days before arrival – 100% of full amount

Check in and Check Out

Our check in time is strictly 13h00 and our check out time is strictly 11h00 Early check in and late departures can be arranged at the additional cost stipulated

Day Rooms

Day rooms can be arranged at 50% of the applicable nightly rate and are bookable from 11h00 until 18h00.

Client’s special dietary/medical requirements

If guests have any medical problems, disabilities and/or allergies that may affect their stay with us, please inform us before confirming the booking so that we can advise as to the suitability of the arrangements we provide. Guests are required to give us written details before booking. If we reasonably feel unable to accommodate the particular needs of a guest we reserve the right to decline the reservation or, if full details are not provided at the time of booking, we may need to cancel the reservation when we become aware of the situation. The cancellation policy will apply. We cannot be held responsible if we are not advised at the time of booking


All clients shall settle their extra account prior to departure from the premises unless otherwise arranged

Road transfers

Road transfers to and from ORTambo can be arranged through one of our reliable transfer suppliers at an additional cost


The Gautrain is a short drive away from Athol Place Boutique Hotel. We highly recommend using this service from ORTambo to get to AtholPlace Boutique Hotel or vice versa. We can arrange for an AtholPlace Boutique Hotel representative to meet you at ORTambo in the arrivals hall, assist you through to the ORTambo Gautrain Station, help with the purchase of tickets and then assist you further with a short road transfer from the Sandton Station to AtholPlace Boutique Hotel. This service is on a request basis and will be at an additional cost.


AtholPlace Boutique Hotel has a resident chef who is able to provide a cornucopia of delicious menus. We offer a full English style breakfast, light meals for during the day, in room dining, garden picnics under the trees, candlelight dinners for the more romantic at heart and lovely family dinners in our restaurant or on the outside terrace.
